Mermen, or Mers, look much like "a shark with human arms." Their skin is a mottled grey, and is covered by a thick layer of slime. The head is featureless, with round, black eyes and a "backward slash" of a mouth that opens to reveal a double row of triangle teeth. Their necks are non-existant, their chest is smooth and nipple-free; they have webbed digits at the end of short arms. And their bottom half is made of the fish of a tail.
The Mers are a peaceful people, or so they say, they are quite hard to understand, as no one is able to speak the language very well.
